Kelly L. Gough, DVM

Dr. Gough, a Virginia native, received her Veterinary degree in 1991 from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and was a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The NYS Veterinary Medical Society, and the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Gough has practiced in Webster since 1992 and founded The Village Vet in 2006. She is proud to call Webster her home and is delighted to serve its people and pets. She is seen here with her one-eyed cat, Louise, and Hank who returned to the Happy Hunting Grounds in 2008.

Andrea Blitz, DVM

Andrea Blitz, DVM

Dr. Blitz was born and raised right here in Webster NY, and even went to high school right across the street! She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ithaca College where she was also a member of the women’s Volleyball team. Her veterinary schooling took her just across the hill to Cornell University, where she graduated in 2011. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys working out, learning how to cook, and spoiling her cat, Tippy. Dr. Blitz is excited to be back in Webster and giving back to the community that has always been so gracious to her. She is pictured here with her parent’s cat, Artie, because Tippy has a short attention span.

Sara Moore, DVM

Sara Moore, DVM

A Rochester native, Dr. Moore grew up in Irondequoit and attended SUNY Geneseo , where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She traded in snowstorms for tropical storms when she moved south to attend veterinary school at Ross University, graduating in 2013. She is now happily back in Rochester living with her husband and boxer mix Iris. In her spare time, Dr. Moore enjoys the outdoors, especially geocaching, kayaking, and hiking with her pup. When weather isn’t so forgiving, she likes to cook and spend time with friends and family.

Karen grew up in Webster where she has worked for local veterinary hospitals since high school. She and her husband, Chris, lived in Michigan for a time before returning to the Webster area where they live with their 4 children, and her Great Danes. Karen is a member of the Genesee Valley Kennel Club, and The Vice President of The Great Dane Club of Western New York. When not at The Village Vet, Karen enjoys showing her Great Danes at AKC events and spending time with her family and friends.

Caitlin began her veterinary receptionist career while living in South Carolina. In March of 2011 she and her husband decided that it was time to move back to Upstate New York to be closer to family. So bags were packed and they made the move with their cat “Princess” and Lab mix “Valentine”. Now happily back in the Rochester area they have extended their family to include two children. Caitlin spends a lot of time with family — particularly her two daughters and husband. Any other available free time is spent walking her dog, visiting friends, and occasionally riding horses and practicing yoga. Caitlin happily joined The Village Vet family in July of 2011.

Sarah began her veterinary career in December 2015 following her dreams to work with animals. She lives in Webster with her boyfriend Dave and dog Abby. In her spare time she enjoys baking, trail walks with her dog, playing tennis, traveling and watching her boyfriend’s motocross races.

Kelli started working in the veterinary field at a local vet hospital in 1993. She started as a kennel attendant, then vet assistant, and many years as a receptionist. Kelli and her husband Fred live in Penfield with their 2 dogs Mindy and Molly, 2 kitties Buddy and Cookie and also watch their daughters Bearded Dragon “Puff”. The have 2 Children, Kaycee - who has recently gradated from Ross Veterinary College, and a son - Leo who graduated from BMW automotive program and will be working in Jacksonville Fl. Any free time is spent with her family (both with and without fur).

Lisa grew up in the Charlotte, NY area and moved to San Diego, California after high school. She attended Mesa College to become a veterinary technician. She moved back to the Rochester area in 1986, and worked at several animal hospitals in the area before she started working with Dr. Gough in 1992. Now she can’t imagine working for anyone else!

Lisa lives in Palmyra with her 2 children, a horse and a pony, 1 dog, 4 cats, and several fish. Lisa enjoys being home with her kids and animals and being outside in nice weather. One thing Lisa does not enjoy is snow!

Beth grew up in Southern Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University, she decided to follow her passion for animals and graduated from Colorado’s Bel-Rea Institute for Animal Technology. She has been a licensed technician since 1995, has worked with Dr. Gough since 1999, and is pleased to be working with her and Dr. Zahavi. Beth has a 17-year-old kitty named Percy who, having narrowly escaped an apartment fire in 2009, lived at the clinic until a new home was found for them. Beth enjoys baking and movies. Percy declined to be photographed.

Pittsford native Kiersten received a BS in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2011. When Kiersten is not at work, she enjoys reading, baking, and relaxing outside. She lives in Seabreeze with one of her family’s many pets, Porch Kitty. Kiersten has a variety of animals ranging from fish, cats, and dogs to even a rat; she has a huge love for animals.

Andrea is a Vet Tech student at Medaille College’s Rochester campus and has been part of The Village Vet family since 2009. She lives with her husband, their two cats “Corona” and “Carbon”, their Great Dane “Cayden”, and their two guinea pigs “Cannoli” and “Minnie”. Andrea also has a Shih Tzu named “Teddy” who lives with her parents. Andrea enjoys many activities including (but not limited to) horseback-riding, auto racing, and fishing.

Jennifer grew up in Rochester and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. She has over ten years experience in the veterinary field and loves getting to spend time with people who appreciate animals as much as she does. She has two cats, Louis and Clark, and two golden doodles, Bailey and Clover. Jennifer resides in Webster and in her free time she likes to refurbish furniture, garden and spend time with friends and family.

Coco, The Village Vet Pet

Coco, The Village Vet Pet

Coco is the acting mayor of The Village Vet. He came to us in 2009 when his mom and Village Vet friend, Marilyn Packard, passed away. Coco is diabetic and receives two insulin injections daily. He is a very sweet kitty who enjoys low-fat cottage cheese, the affection of his dozen ladies of The Village Vet, as well as his many visitors. Coco embodies the spirit of our clinic ... warm and welcoming.
